OK I feel like Im going nuts here..... I dont know why Im not over joyed with the bottom quilt.... so what do you think about the new top one... yes I cut up the simple stripes.... I can always make more. I promise this is the last time!!!

I really like them both. The simple strip cut up and reassembled is wonderful - much better. The only part I am not crazy about it the horizontal pink band in the lower part. It a bit too stong in color - at least looking at it on the computer. I do like the idea of inserting the green band vertically.
I love the colors on the top one. Maybe the gold vertical strip on the right could be a different color? It seems to blend in too much. Although I loved the original strip quilt, I love to do what you did: cut up the strips and try something else.
I love it all cut up and re-sewn. I think I like the top one better because of the colors. I'm more into brights.
I like the top one better than the bottom. I think the bottom doesn't work because there is no cohesiveness. At least think about it.
I like the bottom one best! It has a lot of visual interest. The top one needs a bit more variety for my eye. Too many lines of all the same size going in the same direction.
