I was at the market the other day and I saw these rambutans ( not spelled right) and I loved the colors so I checked out my stash and put this together.
I like it much better in person but still feel something isn't right about it, too busy? No real focal point? Maybe I can do some interesting quilting....

I think it is a lovely combination of colours & mixture of vertical and horizontal lines. how to quilt is always a challenge for me too

08motorqHave just found out that Nancy Crow is coming to do a 5 day workshop in South Africa next eyar and I am determined to go. Was googling aroudn and came accross your blog. Very inspirational. I also battle to het PFD cotton as we produce nobne of good quality locally. Have to import at great costs as our currency weak. Look forward to your comments afetr the class. Want to know if your fabrics are solids or a little mottled?

Love those colors and love your design sense. Something not quite right about it? Did you ask? My thought is that perhaps the color distribution is too balanced--in your photo the red is predominant. In the quilt the red and green seem nearly half and half.
